Cannabis Industry Layoffs

The Cannabis industry did not have a good start in the new year.  Tilray Inc. announced that it will be laying off 10 per cent of its staff.

Aurora Cannabis announced that it will be laying off 500 staff. Its CEO also stepped down. Sundial, based in Alberta, has laid off “less than 10 per cent” of its workforce.  HEXO Corp shut down numerous facilities around Niagara Falls. All this comes amidst stocks continuing a decline in comparison to the initial prices.
