The City of Toronto has attempted to shut down a number of well-known Toronto Cannabis/marijuana dispensaries. The city has claimed that the businesses are still operating in violation of the law. The Toronto Cannabis dispensaries have continued to reopen despite numerous police raids. The business owners however have asked the judge to exempt them from the police raids, local bylaws and federal drug rules and have out forward strong legal arguments. The court has not decided on the matter.
